Kallie and Ian... Man, what can I say? These guys are total legends! Their wedding was insane... in the best possible way!!! I always say to couples "get married somewhere that means something to you... somewhere special that holds relevance to your story and combined personalities." These guys did exactly that, and not at all because I told them to. South Port is basically Ian's childhood playground on South Australia's mid coast. Their backyard quite literally overlooks the venue, surf and dunes that made this wedding ultra special. The mid coast is often scoffed at by more serious surfers, but I dare say anyone who rides waves in South Oz has most likely caught more than a few right here. So for a lot of the guests that grew up nearby, there was an added sense of nostalgia attached to the day... and for a Groom from this very beach, and a Bride from Noosa, this was the perfect spot to say their i do's! On top of that, their wedding basically ended in an epic mosh with Rage Against the Machine tunes turned up to eleven! I've never felt more at home shooting a wedding (maybe because it all took place so close to where I grew up as well)... But more likely, because Kallie and Ian are just two of the most fun and welcoming people I've ever met. Their day was epic and I'm stoked to have been a small part of it. Check it out...
